Cardiac Rehabilitation Programs

When you have a heart attack, surgery on your heart or other heart problem, you can help your heart heal with cardiac rehabilitation. A supervised cardiac rehab program can help strengthen your heart so you can get back to enjoying everyday activities that matter most to you.

Personalized plan to meet your needs

Your journey toward a healthy heart is different from anyone else's path. That's why we offer two options to help you improve your heart health and care for your whole being – physically, mentally and emotionally.

Both traditional cardiac rehabilitation and the Ornish Lifestyle Medicine program include key elements to restoring a healthy heart.

  • Supervised exercise to strengthen the heart and increase your energy level
  • Education on how to prepare and eat heart healthy foods
  • Counseling to help you manage stress
  • Group support to learn how to connect with others

Traditional cardiac rehabilitation

You have a full cardiac rehab team with you every step of the way when you choose our medically supervised program. Your doctor, exercise physiologist, nutrition experts and nurses work together to help you increase your energy levels and create a healthy lifestyle.

We tailor your program to fit your needs and health condition. This program usually takes four to 12 weeks to complete.

Here's what to expect during each hour-and-a-half session.

  • In-person meetings three times a week
  • Supervised exercise program
  • Presentations on nutrition, stress management and other health-related topics

Ornish Lifestyle Program

In this intensive cardiac rehabilitation program, a team of trained rehabilitation experts offer the support and information you need to make lasting lifestyle changes. The program takes nine weeks to complete.

Each four-hour session focuses on key elements of heart health.

  • Supervised exercise program
  • Stress management, including meditation, yoga and relaxation techniques
  • Nutrition education on how to prepare and eat a whole foods, plant-based eating plan.
  • Group support to teach ways to connect with others and develop empathy
