Blocked arteries stop hearts
When one or more of your coronary arteries are blocked by atherosclerosis, blood supply to your heart muscle (myocardium) is severely reduced or stopped. This plaque can eventually burst, tear or rupture, creating a “snag” where a blood clot forms and blocks the artery. If blood supply is cut off for more than a few minutes, muscle cells suffer permanent injury and die.
We offer complete, comprehensive heart and vascular care at Goshen Heart & Vascular Center. Our board certified surgeons, cardiologists, neurologists and radiologists work together in one place to provide innovative, care specifically for you.
Seconds count with heart attacks
Our fast door-to-balloon times mean we are prepared to treat a heart attack patient quickly and safely once the patient enters our Emergency Department.
We also have sophisticated communication systems in local ambulance units. Our high-tech remote stemi activation system streamlines patient information to all devices so our hospital clinicians can better prepare for a patient’s arrival and treatment needs. The system saves both lives and serious damage to heart muscle.
