Diagnostic services for your heart
Heart disease – it's more common than you may think. You also may not know how effectively we can treat the disease when it’s caught early.
At Goshen Heart & Vascular Center, we offer free and reduced-cost screenings that can help you understand the health of your heart. Rest assured, all of our tests are non-invasive and painless. Many take less than 10 minutes to complete.
Heart screenings and assessments
We offer a variety of screenings and assessments to determine your heart’s health. These tests can help detect risks factors or conditions that can contribute to heart failure.
Blood pressure, pulse and blood oxygen levels – A simple blood pressure test can help determine if you are at risk for serious health conditions, including heart attack, stroke, kidney failure and peripheral arterial disease.
Cholesterol screening – A simple blood test helps determine your risk for heart disease. The test measures each type of cholesterol and your blood sugar level.
Echocardiogram – This type of ultrasound exam lets us observe how your heart functions. It helps detect signs of heart disease or abnormalities of the heart muscle and valves.
Heart failure risk assessment – Your family health history matters when it comes to risks of heart failure. That's why we use a simple questionnaire about you and your family's health to help you recognize possible risk factors.
Lower extremity pulses screening – By checking your pulse and the blood flow throughout your legs, we can determine signs of peripheral artery disease.
Cardiac calcium score (physician referral required) – We use this heart scan to determine if you have calcium buildup on the walls of the arteries. Calcium deposits narrow the arteries and increase your risk of a heart attack.
