Goshen Hospital awarded 7th Platinum Award for delivering exceptional heart attack care

Patients having heart attacks receive the highest standard of care at Goshen Hospital, according to the American College of Cardiology’s National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR). The NCDR recognized Goshen Hospital with its Platinum Performance Achievement Award for 2018. Goshen Hospital is the only hospital in Northern Indiana to achieve this distinction and one of 203 hospitals nationwide to receive the honor.

Goshen Health Hospice is hosting a free hospice volunteer training session for veterans on May 21, 2018 in the community room at Goshen Physicians Family Medicine and Urgent Care. The four-hour, level one training starts at noon, and will include hospice philosophy with special emphasis on working with veteran patients.

Goshen Health begins community health needs assessment

Goshen Health is once again conducting a community health needs assessment to identify current health needs and develop strategies to positively impact health and wellness changes. Goshen Health conducts a community health needs assessment every three years.

Schedule an appointment during Goshen Health’s next Wellness Wednesday event on May 9 and find out what your cholesterol numbers are. This screening event will be held on the second floor of Community Wellness, in the High Park building at 1721 South Main Street, next to Goshen Hospital.

Goshen Health donates $349,500 to nonprofits

Twenty-nine community organizations from Goshen and the surrounding area were selected to receive a total of $349,500 in grants from Goshen Health’s Community Benefit Fund. The organizations received their awards April 23 at a reception in the Arbor Conference Center at Goshen Hospital.
