Join us at the Goshen Greencroft Community Center on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. to discuss knee arthritis at our monthly Thrive meeting with Lindsay Neff, a Certified Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner with Goshen Physicians Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.

Goshen Hospice partners with Vietnam Veteran War Commemoration

In effort to increase veteran support efforts, Goshen Hospice joined the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration Program. As an official commemorative partner, Goshen Hospice now can distribute commemorative lapel pins to Vietnam veteran patients as a gesture of gratitude for their service.

If you are having another baby, your child may be excited or uneasy. Learn how to prepare your child for being a sibling on Saturday, August 4, from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at Goshen Hospital in the Birch/Walnut room. This class helps expecting families and soon-to-be siblings, ages two-10 years old, prepare to welcome a newborn into the family.

Regional telemedicine network brings specialized stroke care to Goshen Hospital

Patients now have a stroke expert virtually at their bedside minutes after they arrive at Goshen Hospital. The telemedicine-based connection links Goshen doctors and patients with specialists in the StrokeCareNow Network (SCNN). Goshen Health joined the regional physician network in July.

Goshen Health is sponsoring the Mother’s Room at the Elkhart County 4-H Fair. The tent offers privacy for nursing and changing diapers for parents with young children.

Goshen Health Auxiliary increases scholarships awarded to students

This year Goshen Health Auxiliary doubled the number of scholarships to help high school students pursue careers in health care, including nursing, pre-med and the sciences.

Be a super hero – have super health!

Visit Goshen Health’s Get UP and GOshen tent at Kerry’s Kids 14th Annual Kids’ and Teens’ Triathlon to learn how to have super health on July 14, from 8:00 a.m. to noon. This free event is located at Shanklin Park in Goshen. Get UP and GOshen event registration on the day of the event will be held at the Goshen Health tent from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m.

How is your blood pressure?

Schedule an appointment during Goshen Health’s next Wellness Wednesday event on July 11 and find out what your blood pressure numbers are. This screening event will be held on the second floor of Community Wellness, in the High Park building at 1721 South Main Street, next to Goshen Hospital.

Goshen Health pilots program to teach children about nutrition

Goshen Health is collaborating with Goshen Community Schools to help children learn about healthier food options during the Summer Lunch Program. The program provides healthy, free meals to children 18 years of age and younger Monday through Friday at Shanklin Park through July 27.
