Become certified in saving lives

If you’re interested in advancing your career or starting a new one in the rewarding field of emergency care, attend the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) classes at Goshen Health. Classes begin Monday, February 4, and run through Saturday, June 15, 2019. This class meets once a week from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. on the second floor of the Community Wellness, High Park building located next to the Goshen Hospital at 1721 South Main Street in Goshen.

Goshen Hospital earns Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence designation

Patients receiving imaging services at Goshen Hospital can rest assured they are receiving the highest quality, safety and care. Goshen Hospital recently renewed its three-year designation as a Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence™ (DICOE) from the American College of Radiology (ACR).

Local kids ran 4,558 miles since August!

Running in their school’s halls encourages students to exercise, as proven by the seven schools who participated in Goshen Health’s Run the Halls program this fall semester. Together, the schools – Jefferson, Prairie View, Monger, York, Riverdale, Oxbow and Chandler Elementary – signed up 352 students, who ran a total of 4,558 miles this fall.

Support Group for People with Heart Failure

Goshen Health’s next Heart Failure Support Group meets Thursday, January 10 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Greencroft Community Center in Goshen. Andrews University Dietetic Intern Amanda Hoelzle will speak on the latest dietary recommendations for people with heart failure and provide general guidelines for healthy eating that are applicable to everyone. The support group is free, and there is no need to register.

Goshen Health completes community health needs assessment

Goshen Health has completed their 2018 community health needs assessment with the assistance of key community stakeholders. The organization conducts this all-important assessment every three years.

Goshen Health now offers a combined learning option with a convenient online childbirth and newborn preparation course, in addition to live childbirth classes for busy expecting parents.

Sonam Desai, ND, MHSc, HBSc., has joined Goshen Retreat Women's Health Center as a Naturopathic Provider. She focuses on using natural therapies to address patient health and wellness needs.

If you are having another baby, your child may be excited or uneasy. Learn how to prepare your child for being a sibling on Saturday, December 1, from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at Goshen Hospital in the Birch/Walnut room. This class helps expecting families and soon-to-be siblings, ages two-10 years old, prepare to welcome a newborn into the family.

Retired ambulance finds new career at Goshen Health

Students in Goshen Hospital’s EMS Education Program will come out of the classroom and into an ambulance for training, beginning this fall. The hands-on training is part of a comprehensive program enhanced by a fully functional ambulance donated by Washington Township.
