Farid Jalinous, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is joining the team of highly skilled providers at Goshen Heart & Vascular Center on October 1. A clinical and interventional cardiologist, Dr. Jalinous served as the assistant director of the catheterization lab at St. Joseph Physician Network, Midwest Cardiology and as the director of cardiac rehabilitation at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Board certified in cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology, Dr. Jalinous also served as clinical assistant professor at Indiana University Medical Center.
In his 29 years of practicing medicine, Dr. Jalinous has distinguished himself among both his patients and his peers. For excellence in care, he has received the Patients’ Choice award six times. For treating his patients with the utmost kindness, he received the Compassionate Doctor Recognition award twice. Nominated by his peers, Dr. Jalinous also received the Castle Connolly Regional Top Doctors award.

Dr. Jalinous has participated in numerous clinical trials including the effectiveness of drug therapy in cardiovascular medicine. He is concerned for timely and appropriate management of patients with diabetes, atrial fibrillation and heart failure. As an interventional cardiologist, promptly evaluating and treating patients suffering from a heart attack is important to him. At Goshen Heart & Vascular Center, he will offer comprehensive office, noninvasive, invasive and interventional cardiovascular services to our community and add depth to our nationally recognized heart attack care services.
With Dr. Jalinous’ arrival, Goshen Heart & Vascular Center will now have four cardiologists including Dr. Abrar Sayeed, Dr. Abdul Basit and Dr. Blair MacPhail. Colleagues at the center strive to deliver nationally recognized cardiovascular care to the immediate and surrounding communities.
