GOSHEN, Ind. – Goshen Physicians Pediatrics has welcomed Neha Batra, MD, FAAP, to the care team. She brings a decade of experience in providing medical care for children of all ages.

“We are dedicated to providing a medical home for young patients and their families,” said Randy Christophel, Goshen Health President and Chief Executive Officer. “Dr. Batra’s years of experience in pediatrics give us more ways to serve the needs of our community.”

As part of her practice. Dr. Batra provides preventative and routine well-child care, including sports physicals, immunizations and vaccinations. She also treats children with acute and chronic illnesses, such as asthma, allergies and attention deficit syndromes.

Dr. Batra is a strong advocate of breastfeeding, as she believes this gives babies a healthy start in life. Her involvement with the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative helps parents make informed choices about how they feed and care for their babies.

Dr. Batra builds long-term relationships with patients and their families. Her approach creates a patient-centered environment focused on healthy lifestyles and wellness.

All aspects of pediatrics interest Dr. Batra. She devotes attention to newborn care, breastfeeding education, adolescent medicine, nutrition and obesity prevention. During check-ups, she screens patients for issues with growth or development and answers parents' questions or concerns.

For Dr. Batra, research is essential to advance knowledge about causes of pediatric diseases and develop new treatment approaches. She has participated in research studies on the long-term effects of prematurity, retinopathy of prematurity and survival of premature babies.

Dr. Batra received her Bachelor of Medicine from Government Medical College in Patiala, India. She completed her pediatrics residency at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. Dr. Batra received fellowship training in pediatric rheumatology at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
