GOSHEN, Ind. – Goshen Health launched an online estimate tool to help patients understand their healthcare costs prior to receiving a procedure at Goshen Hospital. The Price Planner Tool is available through GoshenHealth.com. The estimate feature allows individuals to input their contact information, needed procedure and insurance information to determine their out-of-pocket cost.
“As many of our community members have high deductible health plans, they are directly managing their healthcare costs more than ever before,” shared Randy Christophel, president and CEO, Goshen Health. “We are committed to standing beside them and providing as much information as possible, so they can make sound decisions about their care.”
“We are excited to offer online transparent pricing options,” stated Amy Floria, CFO, Goshen Health. “Navigating healthcare costs can be overwhelming, even confusing. Our goal is to make this process as easy as possible for our communities.”
Floria added, “There are many factors to consider beyond price when choosing a healthcare provider. Quality, safety, convenience and patient experience are also key points. When comparing options, there is so much to evaluate. It is our honor to help with this process in any way we can.”
In addition to the online estimate tool, Goshen Health has financial representatives that can assist with questions via phone or email. It is important to note that for those individuals without insurance, there are discounts available and the financial representatives can help with this process as well.
Due to the nature of the procedure or the possibility of additional needed services a patient may require, estimates can vary. Current procedures that can be estimated through the Price Planner Tool include:
- Bone density
- CT scan
- Sleep study
Additional procedures will be added in the near future.
