Kyle Carlson, DO, fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon, has joined Goshen Physicians Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. Dr. Carlson specializes in total joint replacement of hips and knees for adults. He has advanced training treating complex cases, such as adult revisions to joint replacements and conditions caused by degenerative diseases, including arthritis.
"We welcome Dr. Carlson and his family back to their roots in northern Indiana," said Randy Christophel, Goshen Health President and Chief Executive Officer. "Dr. Carlson is eager to serve the needs of patients in our community who suffer from joint pain and discomfort."
Dr. Carlson takes a conservative approach to care that blends non-operative treatment and surgical solutions. He is an advocate for patient education to help patients make treatment decisions that fit their values and needs.
Dr. Carlson received a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Bioscience in Kansas City, Mo. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from Manchester College, North Manchester, Ind. For his fellowship in Orthopedic Surgery and Adult Reconstruction, Dr. Carlson trained at Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Mich.
