GOSHEN, Ind. – In honor of National Cancer Survivors Day, Paqui Kelly is joining Goshen Center for Cancer Care on Saturday, June 9 in the Schrock Pavilion at Shanklin Park as the keynote speaker of Celebrate Life!, an event for all who are surviving cancer in the community. Paqui is the co-founder of the Kelly Cares Foundation along with her husband Brian Kelly, head football coach at the University of Notre Dame. Her story of hope in the midst of two breast cancer diagnoses and commitment to helping others is an inspiration to anyone who has been touched by this disease.
No matter where you may be in your journey, we invite you and your family to come and enjoy a picnic, outdoor games and a celebration activity. The schedule of events is as follows:
11:00 a.m. – Doors open for check in
11:30 a.m. – Welcome and keynote
12:00 p.m. – Lunch and park activities
1:30 p.m. – Closing celebration
“We are excited to host our second annual Celebrate Life! event as a way to honor the precious gift of life and celebrate the journey of our cancer patients,” says Libby Stout, Survivor Network Coordinator. “Paqui’s story of survival before, during and after cancer is a great opportunity for area cancer survivors to relate and connect with. I hope many will join us for an amazing event!”
