Sign-up for the 13th annual Middlebury Walks for a Cure

September 14, 2017

GOSHEN, Ind. – To raise money for cancer care in our community, Middlebury Walks for a Cure will be held Sunday, October 8, 2017, at Das Dutchman Essenhaus Inn and Conference Center (Middlebury). The 5K run will include the new Ridge Run Trail and part of the Pumpkinvine Trail; the one mile walk is a scenic route staying closer to the inn.

Other activities that day will be a “pretty in pink” contest, silent auction, awards ceremony, prizes and raffles. An exhibit hall is available for local vendors.

Registration begins at 1 p.m. with opening ceremonies at 1:45 p.m. The 5K Walk/Run will start after the opening ceremonies. Timing chips are available for runners.

Nean Smith, a lifelong Middlebury resident and breast cancer survivor, organized the first Middlebury Walks for a Cure event in 2005. The money raised at the event supports two local cancer initiatives: United Cancer Services of Elkhart County and Goshen Center for Cancer Care.

To register for the 5K Walk/Run, reserve space in the exhibit hall for your business or provide a sponsorship, visit www.MiddleburyWalksForACure.com, call (574) 364-2457 or email foundation@goshenhealth.com. To receive a t-shirt, participants must register online by Sept. 22.
