Simple steps to lower risk of diabetes

June 17, 2019

If you or a family member have prediabetes, you may be able to prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes. Goshen Health is offering a FREE class to encourage you to make healthier food choices, move more each day, stay at a healthy weight and manage stress. Plan now to attend the Proactive Diabetes Class on Monday, June 24 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in the Wellness Classroom located on the second floor of the Goshen Heart & Vascular Center.

Although the genes you inherit may influence the development of type 2 diabetes, they take a back seat to behavioral and lifestyle factors. This class will review tracking your food and physical activity, setting goals, staying motivated and overcoming barriers. With support and lifestyle modifications, it is possible to delay or prevent diabetes.

This event is open to the public. Registration is required. To register or for more information, please call (574) 364-2746 or visit GoshenHealth.com/Find-Events.
