GOSHEN, Ind. – On Saturday, April 7 from 9:00 a.m. - noon, Goshen Retreat Women’s Health Center will host a mobile paper shredding event for the public. The event is a fundraiser for HeartStrings Sisters, a nonprofit organization that provides financial assistance for screening mammograms for income-eligible, medically underserved women in our community.
Even in our digital world, shredding your important documents is still one of the best ways to protect you and your family’s identity. Integra, a document destruction company, will be in the parking lot north of the Goshen Hospital’s main entrance to dispose of any documents that contain personal information. These documents may include, but are not limited to, bank statements, bills, blank checks, tax records, insurance information – and even medical records.
A $10 donation is recommended for the first five bags or boxes of paper, followed by a $5 donation for each additional bag or box. All proceeds will benefit HeartStrings Sisters.
About HeartStrings Sisters:
HeartStrings Sisters is a nonprofit program with a dual mission to save lives and provide emotional support for women who have been newly diagnosed with breast cancer. Gifts designated for HeartStrings Sisters may cover the cost of screening mammograms for women who could not otherwise afford them. Breast cancer can be detected early - and early detection improves the chances of successful treatment.
