Wawasee kids learn healthy habits during lunch

Goshen Health is excited to collaborate with Wawasee Community Schools to help children learn about healthier food options and the benefits of staying active while attending four summer lunch site programs, July 20 through August 7. During the lunch programs, Goshen Health will offer socially distanced and safe activities, along with information children can take home and share with their families. Though many children come alone, parents are encouraged to come and learn more about good health habits.
 
"There’s no better place to start teaching good health habits than with our children. Helping develop good habits at an early age can last a lifetime," said Randy Christophel, Goshen Health President and Chief Executive Officer. "When we eat right and stay active, we are making a big investment in our health."
 
Last summer, Goshen Health interacted with 619 kids attending the summer lunch program at nine different sites in Goshen and Syracuse.   
 
Look for Goshen Health at these locations through August 7:
  • Milford Elementary, Tuesday’s, 11:15 a.m. to noon
  • Syracuse Lakeside Park, Wednesday’s, 11:15 a.m. to noon
  • Syracuse Elementary, Thursday’s, 11:00 a.m. to noon
  • North Webster Elementary, Thursday’s, 11:15 a.m. to noon
