Elise Sharkey, PA, has joined the surgical oncology team at Goshen Center for Cancer Care. She assists oncologists during surgeries for patients with various types of cancers. Sharkey also provides a continuity of care for patients from initial assessment to post-surgery follow-up.

Beginning July 1, Goshen Physicians is excited to expand community access to healthcare with the addition of a new practice, Goshen Physicians Sleep & Allergy Medicine. Goshen Physicians formally purchased Dr. Yatin J. Patel’s Goshen Sneeze & Snooze Clinic as Dr. Patel prepares to celebrate his retirement next month. 

Kristin Abbs, FNP, now welcomes new patients at Goshen Physicians Urology. She works with Dr. Jeffery Bolduan to diagnose and treat adults and children with disorders of the urinary tract system, including the kidneys, bladder and prostate.

Enrollment is open for emergency medical technician (EMT) classes offered by the Goshen Health Education Department. The five-month course introduces students to basic skills and knowledge needed for EMT certification. Students receive instruction on emergency medical services, including trauma, medical assessment, and resuscitation.

A small blister or sore can turn into a big problem if left untreated. The longer a slow-healing wound goes without proper treatment, the greater the chance of infection, hospitalization or even limb loss.
