Animals. Carnival rides. Food stands. These may be some of the words you associate with the Elkhart County 4-H Fair. At Goshen Health, we aim for health to be another word added to that list.
This year, we have several family-friendly activities planned for the community to experience while visiting the fair. These activities promote living a healthier lifestyle while offering fun and excitement for the whole family.
Goshen Health family activity area
We are excited to announce that we will have a sizeable open-tented area that includes a movement path for children. This space will offer a shaded area for families to take a break from the summer sun and relax while also providing fun activities for children.
Goshen Health will be on-site several days throughout the week to provide other hands-on activities and educational opportunities that encourage healthy living.
Emoji puzzle challenge
Search, scan, and score in our Emoji Puzzle Challenge on the Elkhart County’s 4-H Fun Fair App. For this challenge, we have strategically placed 8 health and well-being oriented puzzles throughout the fairgrounds. Will you be able to solve them all?
After finding and solving the puzzle, players will scan the QR code and enter their answers. For players 18 years of age or older, each puzzle offers an opportunity to win a prize by having their name entered into a drawing.
New mother’s room
Finding a comfortable and cool area to feed and change small children is typically a hassle when visiting a county fair. Goshen Health is aware of this issue and has annually sponsored a mother’s room tent that serves as a private, air-conditioned area for families to tend to their small children.
We are proud to announce that for this year's fair the mother’s room has gone through a significant upgrade. Goshen Health is sponsoring a brand-new building that offers even more privacy and comfort for families and their little ones.
The mother’s room will be open each day during regular fair hours and is located next to the Goshen Health family activity area by the fair office.
