It matters where you get your colonoscopy
An adenoma detection rate (ADR) reflects how carefully a colonoscopy was performed to find precancerous polyps. Experts in the field consider an ADR of 47-48 or higher in the mastery level.
We take pride in our Gastroenterologists' high-status ADRs, a combined average of 56% for screening colonoscopies.
Why is ADR so important?
For every one percent increase in a physician's ADR, your risk of colon cancer decreases by three percent along with a five percent decrease in the risk of a fatal colon cancer occurring before your next colonoscopy.
