Robert Thomas Hill, MD, MBA, is a board certified anesthesiologist. As a chronic pain specialist, he employs an integrated approach to managing patients and their pain. By using a combination of intervention, medical management and physical therapy he treats the whole patient, mitigating their pain and improving their quality of life. The key is a synergistic relationship where both parties (physician and patient) develop an ideal treatment plan.

Dr. Hill is dedicated to providing his patients with personalized attention while addressing the wide variety of medical problems they face. He treats his patients like family. They are respected in the manner that he would like to be treated. By working together, Dr. Hill and his team partner with patients to develop a treatment plan which is mutually beneficial and helps the patients regain control of their life and keep their independence.
Dr. Hill’s clinical interests includes cancer pain management, chronic outpatient/inpatient pain management as well as acutephase treatment. His expertise includes performing kyphoplasty procedures for spinal fracture, implanting spinal cord stimulators for pain conditions and placement of intrathecal pumps for appropriate patients. Dr. Hill was an assistant clinical professor of anesthesia at the University of Missouri, with an emphasis on the acute pain service and working at the women and children’s campus.
Dr. Hill’s research has largely centered on clinical medicine. While in residency, he wrote a number of papers on dexmedetomidine and its clinical use. As a fellow in pain management, he has authored two pieces regarding unique pain management cases. He has also co-authored an article concerning chronic pain medication and cardiac surgery.
