Yatin J. Patel, MD, is a true leader in the treatment of patients with lung cancer, pulmonary conditions and sleep disorders. He combines the right mix of patient-focused care, advanced technology and continuing education to provide comprehensive and leading-edge therapies. Dr. Patel is board certified in pulmonary medicine, internal medicine and sleep medicine. He currently serves as the Medical Director of Pulmonary Medicine for the Goshen Center for Cancer Care Lung Institute and Goshen Sleep Disorders Center. He also teaches master's level courses on the effects of sleep deficiency at Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind.
Dr. Patel actively participates in continuing education classes, including lung cancer-related training in laser bronchoscopy, brachytherapy and bronchial stenting, endobronchial ultrasound, and photodynamic therapy.
Dr. Patel has been published in science journals, presented abstracts on lung cancer to physicians and appeared on local television to promote the benefits of smoking cessation and how to eliminate drowsy driving.
