Biography
Amanda Aldana is a family medicine nurse practitioner with Goshen Physicians Family Medicine Elkhart. She provides care for patients of all ages throughout the lifespan. Services she provides include routine wellness exams, immediate care for acute illnesses and injuries, and management of chronic conditions, such as heart disease and diabetes.
Amanda’s nursing experience spans more than two decades. She has provided patient care in a variety of professional settings, from hospital surgical units and intensive care to a specialized heart and vascular clinic and assisted living facility.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Amanda bridges communication barriers between patients and providers.
Family comes first for Amanda when she’s away from her nursing practice. She also takes every opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, travel and try new cooking techniques.
Philosophy of Care
Amanda goes beyond the condition or diagnosis to treat the whole person. Her goal is to provide the best care possible while meeting the specific needs of each individual. She educates patients, based on their own understanding of their condition, and encourages them to take an active role in their health and well-being.
