Abdul Basit, MD, FACP, FACC, FSCAI, is a board certified interventional cardiologist at Goshen Heart & Vascular Center. He is fellowship trained in cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology.
Dr. Basit treats a range of heart and vascular conditions, including chest pain, high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol levels, circulation disorders, arrhythmias and congestive heart failure. He uses minimally invasive procedures to open blocked arteries, widen narrowed heart valves and improve blood flow to organs and limbs.

As part of his compassionate, comprehensive approach to care, Dr. Basit encourages patients to actively participate in making decisions about their care.
Clinical interests for Dr. Basit include advanced treatment procedures for acute and chronic diseases of the heart and arteries. Specifically, he is interested in acute coronary syndrome, coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, peripheral artery disease (atherosclerosis), arrhythmia in women (irregular heartbeats or abnormal heart rhythms) and carotid artery stenting.
Dr. Basit has conducted extensive research studies on cardiogenic shock, heart disease in women, hyperlipidemia as well as prevention of amputation and heart attacks. His findings have been published in many peer-reviewed medical journals. He also has served on editorial boards for several clinical journals.
