Philosophy of Care
Dr. Henry believes that cancer care is increasingly complex and thus requires a team of providers as there is often more than one path of care available to patients. He views exceptional cancer care as aligning appropriate care choices with a patient’s personal values and wishes.
Dr. Henry primarily focuses on disorders of the thyroid and parathyroid, breast cancers, melanoma and peritoneal surface malignancies. He introduced Cytoreductive Surgery (CRS) and Heated Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) to Goshen Center for Cancer Care in 2011, providing this cancer treatment for the first time in the region.
Dr. Henry is deeply dedicated to research, undergraduate and graduate medical education as well as creating value in healthcare delivery. Throughout his career, he has authored dozens of peer-reviewed medical articles, abstracts, textbook chapters and review articles.
