    Melissa Larson is a certified family nurse practitioner at Goshen Physicians Gastroenterology. She works closely with a team of highly trained specialists to provide the best possible care for patients with a range of stomach and digestive disorders.

    Certified in conscious sedation, Melissa is trained to assist in surgical procedures, such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, biopsies, endoscopic ultrasounds and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). She also manages care for patients with acid reflux disease, Crohn’s disease, gastric ulcers and other gastrointestinal conditions.

    Melissa began her career as a registered nurse in 2010 and has worked in hospital-based and outpatient surgical units in the region. She has gained a broad experience of caring for patients who undergo endoscopic procedures.

    Biography

    Doug Liepert, MD, is double-board certified in ear, nose and throat medicine and sleep medicine. He provides expert care for patients of all ages who have conditions that affect their sleep, sinuses and breathing.

    Dr. Liepert is highly trained and experienced in minimally invasive procedures and office-based nasal and sinus surgery to help patients breathe and sleep better. He also offers home sleep testing, comprehensive sleep evaluations, CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) therapy and other sleep apnea therapies.

    In addition to serving as director of Goshen Sleep Disorders Center, Dr. Liepert will continue to see patients at the Center for Sleep & Nasal Sinus Disorders (see CSNSdisorders.com), which has an office in South Bend and one in Goshen at 2012 S. Main St., Ste. B.

    When he’s not caring for his patients, Dr. Liepert enjoys cycling and participating in an annual Canadian goose hunt. He and his family love to visit their lake home in northern Minnesota to relax and unwind.

    Dr. Liepert believes a team approach delivers the best care for patients with sleep disorders. He works closely with experts in a variety of disciplines to provide continuity of care and treatment tailored to fit each patient’s needs. This includes the collaboration with dental sleep professionals.

    Clinical Interest

    Sleep-disordered breathing has been a passion of Dr. Liepert’s since he entered the field in 1985. He pursued interests in osseointegration and image-guided sinus surgery during his medical residency. That led to specialized surgical sleep training at the School of Sleep Medicine at Stanford University, CA.

    Research Interest

    Research and development of minimally invasive nasal procedures have advanced Dr. Liepert’s interests in nasal breathing and chronic sinusitis. His goal is to find solutions for patients struggling with conventional CPAP therapy for sleep apnea. He has authored numerous studies and given scientific presentations on sleep medicine and clinical collaboration

    Dr. Justin Lightburn is an Interventional Radiologist at Goshen Hospital. He performs vascular, non-vascular and interventional oncologic procedures at Goshen Hospital, Elkhart General Hospital and LaPorte Hospital. He serves as chairman of interventional radiology for all three hospitals, and as the Director of Interventional Radiology for Goshen Hospital. He is an executive board member for Radiology, Inc., Mishawaka, where he helps set policies for physicians.

    Dr. Lightburn specializes in endovascular and interventional oncology procedures. His endovascular procedures include common carotid artery stent placements, carotid ultrasounds, stenting, ablations and venography. He treats peripheral artery disease, vascular malformation, carotid artery disease, aortic aneurysm, cerebrovascular disease and venous insufficiency. His interventional oncology procedures include radioembolization of tumors, chemoembolization of tumors and percutaneous ablation of tumors.

    Anne Love, MSN, FNP, works together with Dr. Max Mertz at Goshen Physicians Family Medicine Keystone to ensure that every patient seen receives the high-quality, individualized care they deserve. Seeing patients of all ages, she is trained in diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illness with an emphasis on disease prevention and wellness promotion. In addition, she orders and interprets diagnostic testing, following up with both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment plans. Prior to joining Goshen Physicians Family Medicine Keystone she worked as a resident nurse in intensive care, progressive care, oncology, medical/surgical and the emergency department at Goshen Hospital. Anne earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Goshen College in Goshen, Indiana. In recognition of her outstanding academic achievements, she was selected to join Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Anne resides with her family near the community of Goshen, Indiana, where she enjoys reading, writing, blogging, photography, genealogy, and church activities.

    Rebecca Lovejoy, ND, LAc, FABNO, provides naturopathic supportive care to cancer patients during and after conventional treatment at Goshen Center for Cancer Care. Dr. Lovejoy joined Goshen Center for Cancer Care’s integrative care team in 2013 as a naturopathic resident and completed her naturopathic oncology residency at the cancer center in 2015.
