Our bodies – both wondrous and disgusting
Our bodies are certainly amazing. How all our systems work together, allowing us to breathe, distribute oxygen through our heart and vascular systems, digest food, fight germs and bacteria, understand the world through our senses – and so much more!
Yet, we don’t deny that sometimes our bodily functions disgust us. That’s why we chose the theme “Things that make you go EWW” this year. We hope by appealing to children and teens, we can get their attention and get them excited about being healthier.
Check out these family-friendly interactive stations:
- Slimy, snotty, icky stuff, “The foulest of fluids"
- Nasty, gassy, stanky stuff, "Greetings from the interior"
- Runny, oozy, gooey stuff, “Our crucial cringiness"
- Bony, chunky, lumpy stuff, "Our flesh and our bones"
And, if you need a little help to get started, we’re here for you. We can help you understand your health risks, provide you with education and offer encouragement – all this to give you the energy, strength and resilience to live the life you choose.
