How an MRI guides your treatment

Getting an MRI is a painless procedure. It’s a simple process where you lie on a table and pass through an MRI scanner. You may need to take a contrast dye either orally or through an injection. Contrast dye helps highlight the area being imaged.
Some people find that staying still for more than a few minutes and the enclosed design of the scanner makes them uncomfortable. Your technician will work with you to make the experience as comfortable as possible.
