The pelvic floor is the term used for the muscles that support the bladder, uterus (womb) and bowels. This group of muscles can become impaired during pregnancy or childbirth, strenuous exercise, changes in hormones due to menopause or as a result of prior surgeries in the abdominal or pelvic region. When this happens, you may experience incontinence, leaking of the bladder or bowels or pelvic pain when sitting, walking, urinating or having intercourse.
We understand how important good pelvic health is to feeling in control of your life and health. Through pelvic rehabilitation therapy, we can create a personalized physical therapy plan that addresses your issues and helps you regain control and reduce pain.
To participate in pelvic rehabilitation therapy, ask your primary care provider about a referral to Goshen Rehabilitation. If you don’t have a primary care provider, call (574) 537-0962 for a referral.
