Survivor Network Educational and Support Programs
Living with Cancer support group
Open to people with cancer as well as their loved ones, each session of this informal support group includes education and time for sharing. Talk to your Mind-Body Counselor or call (574) 364-2948 for current meeting times and topics.
Quarterly cooking demonstrations are done by our Registered Dietitians. Each season they will introduce a delicious recipe that emphasizes proper nutrition and cooking tips. Recipes will focus on seasonal fruits and vegetables and medical nutrition therapy for those affected by cancer. Ask your Registered Dietitian or call (574) 364-2948 for more information.
Some patients with lower incomes may qualify for the “Naturopathic Wellness Fund” which provides a limited amount of complimentary natural product and/or acupuncture support during and after treatment. Ask the Naturopathic Doctor for more details or an application if interested.
Finding rides or covering travel expenses to treatment can be difficult for some families. Goshen Center for Cancer Care has a list of resources for transportation. Additionally, cancer patients may apply for assistance through our Transportation Partners fund that supplies eligible patients who meet financial requirements with gas cards, trolley passes or driver payments to cancer-related appointments. Please ask your oncology nurse for more information.
Mind-Body Counselors are available to assist Goshen Center for Cancer Care patients and their key caregiver with completion of paperwork for Advance Directives to help answer questions in the event of a medical emergency.
