GOSHEN, Ind. – Goshen Heart & Vascular Center’s cardiovascular rehabilitation program was recently certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). This certification recognizes Goshen Heart & Vascular Center’s commitment to improving the quality of life by enhancing standards of care.

Cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation programs help people with heart and vascular problems (like heart attacks and coronary artery bypass graft surgery), and with lung problems (like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease [COPD] and respiratory symptoms) recover faster and improve their quality of life. Both programs include exercise, education, counseling and support for patients and their families.

“We believe that following the standards of the AACVPR enables us to provide scientifically-based care that will lead to the best results for our patients,” said Ram Khattri Chettri MBA-HCM, MS, MATS, NP-C, RN, service line administrator for Goshen Heart & Vascular Center. “This certification shows how seriously we take our commitment to our patients.”

Goshen Heart & Vascular Center cardiovascular rehabilitation program participated in an application process that requires extensive documentation of the program’s practices. AACVPR-certified programs are recognized as leaders in the field of cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation because they offer the most advanced practices available. AACVPR Program Certification is valid for three years.
