Provide Care with Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Training
Emergency medical technician (EMT) education focuses on delivering care to people in emergency medical situations. As an EMT, you respond to emergency medical calls providing first line care.
Working as an EMT can be a rewarding career that is a service to your community. You specialize in procedures and techniques to immediately evaluate and treat life-threatening conditions and symptoms, such as:
- Chest pain and other symptoms of heart attack
- Choking, difficulty breathing and respiratory failure
- Loss of consciousness
- Seizure
- Stroke symptoms
- Severe allergic reactions
- Trauma
- Shock

There are three levels of EMT education certification: basic, intermediate and paramedic. Requirements to obtain certifications vary from state to state. Through our Colleague Education Department, Goshen Health provides basic EMT training.
Are you ready to advance your career or start a new one in emergency care? Goshen Health can help. We offer an EMT Basic five-month course. To reserve a spot in the class, one-third of the class fee must be paid prior to the start of class. Payment plans are available. Class size is limited!
