Biologic/Immunotherapy

Biologic Therapy

Using the body's immune system to attack cancer

We've pioneered ways to use the body's immune system to find and destroy cancer cells. This type of immunotherapy helps your body recognize cancer cells as foreign substances and defend itself, the same way it does with a cold or flu virus.

Unparalleled expertise in one cancer center

Here at Goshen Center for Cancer Care, we are one of only a few cancer centers in the country to offer treatment with the biologic therapy called Interleukin-2 (IL-2). We use the therapy primarily to treat metastatic melanoma and kidney cancer.

Medical Oncology

Systemic and targeted therapy

Systemic therapies are drugs that spread throughout your body to eliminate cancer cells wherever they are located. They include chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy. While chemotherapy can impact fast-growing cancerous and noncancerous cells, therapies such as hormonal therapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapies pursue specific molecular targets associated with cancer.
