Brain Cancer

General Information

Coping with a diagnosis of brain cancer is not easy. It’s common to have many questions about your treatment, outlook and cancer recovery. At Goshen Center for Cancer Care, we make life after a brain cancer diagnosis a little less scary. Our team takes the time to care for all of you while aggressively attacking the cancer. We combine the latest cancer treatment with naturopathic medicine and other supportive services to ensure your best possible quality of life.

Types of brain cancer we treat

A brain tumor is an abnormal cell growth in or near the brain. While many different types of brain cancer exist, here are the three most common type:

  • Gliomas – These tumors form in the supportive tissue in the brain.
  • Meningiomas – A meningioma forms in the membrane surrounding the brain. These are usually benign, meaning they are not cancerous.
  • Pineal and pituitary tumors – Developing in the pineal and pituitary glands, these tumors are rarely cancerous.

Cancerous or not, brain tumors require a high level of treatment, whether that’s monitoring the tumor or providing advanced treatment to kill the cancer cells or prevent them from spreading.

Brain tumor symptoms

Symptoms depend on what area of the brain is affected and can include balance problems, memory problems, headache and difficulty with fine motor skills. Other conditions can cause these symptoms. Have your doctor evaluate any troubling changes for a prompt diagnosis.
