Gastroenterology
Stomach and digestive discomfort can leave you suffering – often in silence. If you're ready to get relief, you've come to the right place.
Our Approach
Our gastroenterology specialists treat a wide range of digestive disorders in the stomach, liver, intestines, esophagus and pancreas. We offer advanced diagnostics, treatments and preventative services using the latest technology.
Conditions & Procedures
We evaluate and treat a broad spectrum of digestive disorders, and offer in-office and outpatient procedures. The Goshen Surgery Center is a convenient option for many outpatient gastroenterology procedures.
Commitment to Quality
High-quality, safe endoscopic care
Goshen Health is recognized by the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) for high-quality, safe endoscopic care. Whether it's a colonoscopy or an upper endoscopy, these screenings and therapeutic procedures lower risk for developing cancers of the esophagus, stomach and colon.
Where you get your colonoscopy makes a difference
Quality matters when it comes to colonoscopies. Our gastroenterology specialists are highly skilled in finding and safely removing polyps before they become cancerous. In fact, their adenoma detection rates (ADR) are above the national benchmark.
ADR is important because it reflects how carefully a doctor performs a colonoscopy. Recent studies1 have shown that for every one percent increase in ADR over the national average, your risk of colon cancer decreases by three percent. Risk of a fatal colon cancer occurring before your next colonoscopy also decreases by five percent.

- Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP): alows intervention in the piping of the liver and pancreas
- Esophageal manometry: evaluates the esophageal motion
- FibroScan: non-invasive assessment of the liver for scar tissue
- pH analysis: tests the amount of acid and nonacid in the esophagus
- Capsule endoscopy: assesses small bowel for lesions

Resources
At your next primary care visit, you may want to ask about a checkup on your liver health. That’s because more and more people are developing a condition called metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD).
No one wants to think about cancer in the colon or rectum. But you can prevent colon cancer from forming by making a commitment to get regular colorectal cancer screenings.
