Recommended foods

  • Eat small, frequent meals and snacks.
  • Limit fat to less than 30% of your total daily calories. Ask your dietitian what your goal should be.
  • Choose nonfat or low-fat foods that meet the U.S. Dietary Guidelines. Read labels and look for foods with 3 grams of fat or less per serving.

Foods not recommended

  • High-fat foods
  • Fried foods
  • Foods with strong odors
  • Foods that cause gas
