Type 2 Diabetes
General Information
Type 2 diabetes, an inability to produce enough insulin, accounts for up to 95 percent of all cases of diabetes in the U.S. This condition also causes your body to become resistant to insulin’s actions, leading to a buildup of sugar in your blood. Although the exact cause of Type 2 diabetes isn’t known, obesity and not eating a healthy, balanced diet can lead to developing the disease.
