What did Goshen Health announce?

Goshen Health has signed an Affiliation Agreement to partner with Parkview Health, the regional leader in healthcare across northeast Indiana. This follows the completion of a thorough due diligence process and marks an important milestone in moving toward a formal partnership.

What does signing an Affiliation Agreement mean?

Signing an Affiliation Agreement means both organizations have agreed on the terms of the partnership. The process is not yet final and now moves into a required regulatory review phase before any partnership can be completed.

What phase are you in now?

Goshen Health is currently in the regulatory review phase, during which the Indiana Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission will review the agreement. This process is required and is expected to take at least 90 days but may take longer.

Why is Goshen Health pursuing a partnership?

Healthcare has changed significantly. To continue providing high-quality care close to home, Goshen Health must ensure access to clinical resources, technology and specialized services patients need now and in the future.

Partnering with Parkview Health allows Goshen Health to plan responsibly for long-term community health and position our organization for continued strength, stability and growth.

How does this benefit patients and the community?

This partnership is designed to strengthen access to care, expand services over time and reduce the need for patients to travel outside the community for specialized care.

It also positions Goshen Health as a regional hub for care, access and growth, supported by additional clinical expertise, advanced technology and expanded services.

This decision was made by Goshen Health’s Board, in close collaboration with medical leadership. The Board carries responsibility for safeguarding the organization’s future and approached this decision with care and accountability.

What changes right now?

There are no immediate changes to patient care, services, staffing or day-to-day operations. Patients should continue receiving care as they always have at Goshen Health.

What happens next?

While the regulatory review is underway, Goshen Health and Parkview Health will begin integration planning. This allows both organizations to prepare thoughtfully for the future.

It is important to note that no integration activities or operational changes will take place unless and until regulatory approval is received.

How long will this process take?

The regulatory review phase is expected to take at least 90 days but may take longer. Timing depends on the review process and required approvals.
