Standard Charges
As required by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Goshen Health makes available machine-readable files containing standard hospital charges.
These files are intended primarily for researchers, employers, health plans and other organizations that analyze healthcare pricing. They are not designed to estimate what an individual patient will pay.
The files include:
- Gross charges
- Discounted cash prices
- Payer-specific negotiated charges
- De-identified minimum negotiated charges

What to Know
About Your Estimate
Your estimate is based on the information available at the time it is created and should be considered an estimate, not a final bill.
Your actual charges may be higher or lower depending on factors such as:
- Your diagnosis and medical condition
- The services your provider determines are medically necessary
- The length of your procedure or hospital stay
- Additional testing, imaging, medications or supplies that may be needed
- Unexpected findings or complications during treatment
- How your insurance company processes your claim
Your estimate reflects hospital charges only. Professional fees from physicians or other providers may be billed separately. These may include your surgeon, anesthesiologist, emergency physician, radiologist, pathologist or other consulting providers.
