Goshen Health announced on 1/27/26 that its Board has approved a Letter of Intent to pursue a partnership with Parkview Health, the regional leader in healthcare across northeast Indiana. This begins a formal evaluation and due diligence process.

Yes. By signing a Letter of Intent, Goshen Health is intentionally moving forward on a path toward partnership with Parkview Health, pending due diligence, regulatory approvals, and final agreements.

Why is Goshen Health pursuing a partnership?

Healthcare has changed significantly. To continue providing high-quality care close to home, Goshen Health must ensure access to the clinical resources, technology, and specialized services patients need now and in the future.

Partnering with Parkview Health allows Goshen Health to plan responsibly for long-term community health and position our organization for continued strength, stability, and growth.

How does this benefit patients and the community?

A partnership with Parkview Health has the potential to strengthen access to care, expand services over time, and reduce the need for patients to travel outside the community for specialized care.

This partnership will also position Goshen as Parkview’s largest hospital outside of Fort Wayne and as a regional hub for care, access, and growth, bringing additional clinical expertise, advanced technology, and expanded services to our community.

This decision was made by Goshen Health’s Board, in close collaboration with medical leadership. The Board carries responsibility for safeguarding the organization’s future and did not take this decision lightly.

After careful consideration, the Board determined that pursuing a partnership with Parkview Health is the best path forward for our patients, Colleagues, and community.

What changes right now?

There are no immediate changes to patient care, services, staffing, or day-to-day operations as a result of this announcement. Patients should continue receiving care as they always have at Goshen Health.

How long will this process take?

The evaluation and due diligence process is expected to take approximately six to twelve months. Any potential next steps would occur in 2026, pending regulatory approvals and final agreements.

Will my insurance still be accepted if Goshen Health partners with Parkview Health?

There are no immediate changes to insurance coverage or network status as a result of this announcement. Insurance participation is a serious decision made by hospitals, professional providers, and insurance plans, and it typically does not change in the middle of a plan year, as unexpected network changes can be disruptive for patients, employers, brokers, and care teams.
