    Biography

    Jody Neer, MD, is a board certified neurologist who treats patients with disorders of the nervous system. Dr. Neer has extensive experience in caring for patients with movement disorders and cognitive conditions that affect the brain, spinal cord and nerves. In 2021, he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS) at Indiana University School of Medicine. GHHS members serve as role models, mentors and leaders in health care. Away from his practice, Dr. Neer enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and four children.

    Philosophy of Care

    Dr. Neer knows that a diagnosis of a neurological disorder can be overwhelming and life changing. He takes a warm and compassionate approach to help patients and their families understand and cope with their condition. His disease management counseling also helps patients learn how to lead productive and healthy daily lives.

    Biography

    Dr. Liz Nafziger is a board certified neurologist at NeuroCare Center Goshen Physicians and provides palliative care at Goshen Center for Cancer Care. She is fellowship trained in hospice and palliative medicine. Dr. Nafziger treats a range of neurological conditions, including headache, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and stroke. She provides symptom management for patients with serious illnesses and assists with advanced care planning.

    During Dr. Nafziger’s residency training, she served as chief resident of the Department of Neurology at the University of Michigan.

    Active listening and communication are vital to Dr. Nafziger’s approach to care. She believes in shared decision-making with patients to provide treatment that fits their values, goals and individual needs.

    Biography

    Beth Jones is a board certified nurse practitioner at NeuroCare Center Goshen Physicians. She specializes in caring for patients with issues affecting the brain, such as dementia, migraines, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. She also provides stroke care and treats patients with seizures, tremor, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and neuropathy.
     
    Beth began her career in nursing at Goshen Hospital in 1993. She held certifications as an oncology nurse and in biotherapy and chemotherapy until transferring to the NeuroCare Center. Her nursing experience also includes patient care as a medical-surgical nurse and training in intensive care.


     
    A family history with strokes and migraines empowers Beth's passion and dedication to help patients manage neurological conditions. Her family is her other passion and she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two sons riding ATVs.

    Philosophy of Care

    Personalized care and strong provider-patient relationships matter most to Beth. She meets each patient where they are in their health journey and walks with them though all phases of health challenges. Her focus is on providing medical care, support and education to help patients reach their goals and achieve the best quality of life possible.

    Biography

    Leah R. Miller, FNP, RN-C, MSN is a board certified nurse practitioner who provides medical care at Goshen Physicians NeuroCare Center. With more than 28 years of experience, Leah treats headaches, dementia, seizures, tremors, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, neuropathy and stroke. Leah worked for more than 25 years in the area of pain management, starting the program at Goshen Physicians Pain Management. She also developed the first acute, chronic, and cancer pain management program at the Center for Pain Management in Elkhart where she served as the clinical coordinator. In her free time, Leah and her family are very active in the community, enjoying church, school, athletic and voluntary events.

    Leah believes that the first step to treating a health problem is to listen closely to her patient’s story. Each person has a unique journey and she feels honored to walk beside people when their health is not what they wish.
