Dr. Marlon Brathwaite is a board certified pediatrician at Goshen Physicians Pediatrics. He is dedicated to meeting the individual needs of children, from newborns and adolescents to teenagers and young adults. Dr. Brathwaite treats patients with a wide range of conditions, from mild childhood illnesses to serious chronic diseases. Prior to joining the pediatric team, Dr. Brathwaite worked as a pediatric hospitalist and cared for children in all areas of the hospital, including the newborn nursery, emergency department and neonatal and pediatric intensive care. He now oversees inpatient pediatric services as the director of the pediatric initiative at Goshen Hospital. Away from clinical practice, Dr. Brathwaite enjoys spending time and traveling with his wife and two young children, along with staying active by running and playing tennis.
Dr. Brathwaite takes a team-led, patient-centered approach to health care. He focuses on building a partnership of trust with his young patients and their families. Dr. Brathwaite believes in close collaboration with the pediatric team at the clinic as well as medical specialists and allied healthcare providers to meet each patient’s individual needs.

Neha Batra is a board certified pediatrician with Goshen Physicians Pediatrics. She provides preventative and routine well-child care for children of all ages, including sports physicals and care coordination with specialists. In addition, she treats acute and chronic illnesses such as asthma, allergies and attention deficit syndromes. Dr. Batra is a strong advocate of breastfeeding, as she believes this gives babies a healthy start in life. Her involvement with the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative ensures parents have the resources they need to make informed choices about how they feed and care for their babies.
Central to Dr. Batra’s approach to care is the importance of providing a medical home for families. She creates a patient-centered environment focused on healthy lifestyles and total wellness. By building long-term relationships with her young patients and their families, she is able to care for a child’s emotional and intellectual development. Regular check-ups give Dr. Batra opportunities to offer more than immunizations. Dr. Natalie Kurtz is a board certified pediatrician with Goshen Physicians Pediatrics. Born and raised in Goshen, Dr. Kurtz is passionate about serving her community. She is dedicated to promoting the health and wellbeing of children through preventive medicine and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses. Her comprehensive approach to care includes immunizations, developmental screenings and wellchild checkups. Dr. Kurtz also treats acute illnesses, such as colds and ear infections, as well as chronic conditions, including asthma. Dr. Kurtz provides age-appropriate education, based on current research, to guide families in caring for their children. As her patients mature, Dr. Kurtz encourages them to actively participate in their health care.

Stephanie Augustine is a certified family nurse practitioner with Goshen Physicians Pediatrics. She provides wellchild exams, immunizations and routine preventive care through all the stages of childhood. Stephanie also treats patients with common illnesses such as colds and flu, ear infections and minor injuries. While working in emergency departments for nearly a decade, Stephanie gained extensive experience in urgent care and treating life-threatening illnesses and injuries. She also has training in the treatment of minor skin disorders, including rashes and dermatitis.
Stephanie takes a family-centered approach to care. She builds relationships with her young patients as well as their families to help maintain each child’s physical and emotional wellbeing.

Emily A. Garber, RN, MSN, CPNP-PC, is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner at Goshen Physicians Pediatrics. She provides well-child care and health education, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of common pediatric acute illnesses and chronic conditions. Her previous experience in pediatric neurosurgery and neurology as a nurse practitioner and in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as a registered nurse is an asset to her practice. Emily provides comprehensive medical care for pediatric patients, ages birth to 18 years old, including wellchild examinations that encompass age-appropriate developmental evaluation; anticipatory guidance; vaccinations; acute/illness visits involving evaluation, diagnosis and treatment. When appropriate, she makes referrals to specialists and prescribes medication. In 2012, Emily was featured in Dayton Children’s Medical Center’s quarterly publication, where she was recognized for her unique approach to managing the diagnosis of a seizure and migraine patient. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys.
Emily cares for her patients with the whole family in mind. She strives to provide kind, compassionate care with understanding of family circumstances and cultural beliefs. She consciously uses a gentle, age-appropriate approach to interact with her patients. She believes a pediatric primary care practice is the medical home for a patient, guiding and directing the care in all areas of health and wellness from birth to high school graduation.
