About

Biography

Brandi Smith is a certified athletic trainer at Goshen Orthopedics. She works closely with the student athletic program at Fairfield Junior/Senior High School to evaluate, diagnose and rehabilitate students with sports injuries.

Education plays an important role in Brandi’s approach to athletic training. She helps student-athletes learn how to avoid orthopedic injuries during sports activities. When injuries occur, Brandi collaborates with a team of orthopedic specialists to build a plan of care that helps young athletes recover physically and emotionally, while protecting their long-term health.

Brandi is specially trained in applying the Graston technique to treat student-athletes with soft tissue injuries. She uses the technique to help reduce pain and restore range of motion.

Sports and exercise keep Brandi on the move when she is away from athletic training. She is an avid runner and earned multiple All-Time Top 10 marks in track and field while in college.

Philosophy of Care

Patient care goes beyond diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries for Brandi. She places a high priority on the mental health of student-athletes and makes sure they feel supported while in her care. Brandi encourages a team approach to care and tailors a treatment plan to help each patient reach their individual goals.
