Biography

Janelle Christensen is a licensed and certified athletic trainer at Goshen Orthopedics. She provides athletic training services for Goshen College student-athletes, including injury evaluation, emergency care and rehabilitation. Janelle works closely with athletes throughout their recovery, creating individualized rehabilitation programs and helping them safely return to participation following injury or illness. She also provides medical coverage for practices and competitions, offering immediate assessment and care when injuries occur.

Janelle is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and holds a Youth Mental Health certification. Her background in athletic training and performance enhancement helps athletes build strength, improve function and recover effectively while supporting their overall well-being.

Outside of work, Janelle enjoys reading, hiking with her dog, practicing yoga and spending time strength training.

Philosophy of Care

Janelle believes that strong patient relationships begin with trust, communication and genuine connection. She takes time to get to know each athlete and encourages open dialogue throughout the care process. By treating patients with the same respect and compassion she would want for herself, she strives to create positive experiences that lead to the best possible outcomes.
