Biography

Dr. Karla Troyer is a board certified family medicine doctor at Goshen Physicians Family Medicine Syracuse. She provides holistic care for patients of all ages, including newborns, adolescents and adults. Her approach to care is focused on preventive medicine, wellness and education.

Services Dr. Troyer provides range from preventive care to treatment for acute illnesses, such as colds, flu and ear infections, and management of chronic medical conditions, including heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes. She also has a special interest in women’s health and pediatrics. Dr. Troyer performs in-office procedures, such as minor skin surgery, joint injections, incision and drainage, and contraception placement.

When Dr. Troyer is away from her medical practice, she devotes her time to family. Walking her dogs, waterskiing, traveling and enjoying good food are among her favorite pastimes.

Philosophy of Care

For Dr. Troyer, family medicine begins with building relationships with patients and their families. She gets to know their interests, values and goals as she forms a plan of care that is right for them in each stage of life. Her goal is to help patients be as healthy as possible throughout their lifetime.
