Maria King, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, OCN

About

Maria King is a board certified nurse practitioner at Goshen Center for Cancer Care. As part of the medical oncology team, she provides care for patients throughout their cancer journey, from diagnosis to survivorship. She collaborates closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary oncology team to develop individualized treatment plans, emphasizing education, communication and compassionate, patient-centered care.

Maria cares for adult patients with malignancies and hematologic disorders. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she served as the first nurse educator for Goshen Center for Cancer Care. She brings extensive oncology experience from roles in infusion services, phone triage, women’s retreat programming and medical, surgical and radiation oncology clinics. This broad background gives her a comprehensive understanding of the cancer continuum and the unique needs of patients and their families.

Outside of work, Maria enjoys spending time with her family and supporting activities that promote wellness and connection.

Maria believes in caring for each patient as a whole person, not just treating the diagnosis. She strives to build trusting relationships through compassionate listening, honest communication and individualized care. Her goal is to ensure every patient feels informed, respected and supported throughout their cancer journey, while partnering with them and their loved ones to make decisions that align with their values and goals.

She understands that a cancer diagnosis affects every aspect of life and believes exceptional care extends beyond medical treatment alone. Maria is committed to providing evidence-based care with empathy, education and encouragement, helping patients navigate complex treatments while maintaining the best possible quality of life.
