Goshen Health awards Farber Nursing Scholarships to dedicated Colleagues
Three Goshen Health nursing team members have been awarded the annual Farber Nursing Scholarship thanks to the generous support of the Goshen Health Foundation. This year, Goshen Health is proud to recognize Alejandra Murillo, Kimberly Camilo and Allison Canniff—each exemplifying Goshen Health’s mission through their dedication to compassionate care and excellence.
Jim Caskey, Vice President of the Goshen Health Foundation, states: “Ned and Agda Farber’s generosity is changing lives! By supporting these nursing students, they’re nurturing both their dreams and the future of compassionate care in our community.”
Alejandra Murillo, Imaging Tech Assistant, is pursuing her Associate Degree in Nursing at Ivy Tech Community College, with an expected graduation in Spring 2026. Deeply aligned with Goshen Health’s values, Alejandra is focused on leadership, evidence-based practice and quality improvement. Her commitment to continuous growth and service positions her to make a lasting impact on patient outcomes and healthcare excellence.
Kimberly Camilo, Unit Secretary/Nursing Assistant in the Intensive Care Unit, is also working toward her Associate Degree in Nursing at Ivy Tech Community College, with an expected graduation in Spring 2026. With a strong foundation in patient-centered care as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Kimberly is expanding her skills in clinical judgment and leadership. Her goal is to continue advancing within Goshen Health, contributing meaningfully to our community’s health and well-being.
Allison Canniff, Registration team member at the Goshen Center for Cancer Care Medical Oncology, is a returning Farber Scholarship recipient. Her journey into nursing was deeply influenced by her work in oncology and a personal experience with a family member’s leukemia diagnosis. Now pursuing her Associate Degree in Nursing at Ivy Tech Community College, Allison is driven to provide not only skilled clinical care but also heartfelt compassion, advocacy and education to cancer patients and their families.
“Alejandra Murillo, Kimberly Camilo and Allison Canniff embody the heart of nursing: compassion, dedication and a drive to grow. We’re proud to support their journey and grateful for the impact they’re making at Goshen Health,” says Julie Crossley, MSN, MBA, RN, NEA-BC, Chief Nursing Officer. “We celebrate their inspiring dedication and look forward to the incredible contributions they will continue to make at Goshen Health and beyond.”
