Goshen Health’s imaging assistant leaves positive impression on patient
In December, Goshen Health presented the Gardener Award to David Montez, Imaging Assistant, at Goshen Hospital.
Montez was nominated for the award by Amy Sturma, who was enthusiastic in her praise for him. She said, “I had to have several trips to Imaging during my hospital stay. David was smiley, happy, caring and funny every single time! He would show care, concern and compassion if I was in severe pain (most of the time). It really makes a difference when people around you are upbeat and cheery. He really is a kind man that everyone loves due to his happiness, love for his job and the way he treats all of his patients. Even when I come back for follow-up appointments, he continues to be sweet, ask how I am and has that smile you can see through the masks. He remembers me by name still – even though he sees how many people a day!?”
“We are fortunate to have a Colleague like David who embodies our culture and values each day. He has a positive energy and can always be counted on to lift your spirits and brighten your day,” said Michelle Sinkovics, MHA, Director of Imaging at Goshen Health.
The Gardener Award recognizes the exceptional contributions of Colleagues in helping the organization fulfill its mission of improving the health of the community by providing innovative and outstanding care.
