Goshen Home Care & Hospice honor veterans
Window panes couldn't hide the big smiles and enthusiastic waves from 21 veterans who greeted well-wishers during a outdoor walk around Courtyard Healthcare Center in Goshen on Veterans Day. Goshen Home Care & Hospice Colleagues and veteran volunteers stopped at residents' windows marked with a star to honor them for their military service.
"It's as important as ever to recognize the service and sacrifice of our veterans and their families, especially for our hospice veterans facing life-limiting illnesses," said Goshen Home Care & Hospice Community Liaison Jennifer Weldy, RN.
In addition, the veterans received American flag blankets and cards written by fourth graders at Model Elementary as part of Goshen Home Care & Hospice's Veterans Day celebration.
