Abrar Raza Sayeed, MD, specializes in cardiology at the Goshen Heart and Vascular Center. As a cardiologist, he provides both inpatient and outpatient care at the center. Dr. Sayeed performs many different tests and procedures to both diagnose and treat patients.

Dr. Sayeed believes that medicine is one of the best ways to serve humanity and that it is best practiced when our focus is towards a patient-centered approach in the delivery of medical care. Dr. Sayeed’s approach is not just about solving the medical disease and alleviating the suffering of his patients. He believes that approaching this same goal by understanding the impact the disease has on his patients from the psychological, social and behavioral standpoint is of utmost importance. This helps in formulating a unique approach towards each patient and delivering the best possible care for them taking careful account of each patient’s circumstances. In this way, Dr. Sayeed seeks to develop a unique professional relationship with his patients and in turn serve the community to the best of his abilities.
Dr. Sayeed pursues his strong interest in Invasive General Cardiology by focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of heart conditions such as acute coronary syndrome, heart failure and arrhythmias concentrating on atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), ventricular tachycardia (VT), V-fib, syncope, lipids and hyper cholesterolemia, essential hypertension, valve diseases, venous insufficiency, peripheral arterial disease and pulmonary hypertension. Dr. Sayeed also works with diagnostic left-heart catheters, using both radial and femoral approaches, right-heart catheterization, echocardiography, Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), exercise stress testing, nuclear stress testing, pacemaker implants, loop recorder placement, temporary transvenous pacemaker placement, Cardioversion as well as tilt table testing.
Dr. Sayeed is actively researching the stabilizing effect of beta blockers and calcium channel blockers on cholesterol crystallization and vulnerable plaques. Having published many articles and research abstracts on this and other subjects related to the treatment of heart disease, Dr. Sayeed remains committed to offering his patients the highest quality of care using the most up-to-date technology and drug treatment. He continues to write and publish articles on topics specific to his and others’ cutting edge research in the fight against heart disease. This research includes the pursuit of various types of treatment in addition to pharmaceutical therapies during cardiac care such as Dr. Sayeed’s analysis of the direct effects of Nifedipine on cholesterol crystallization and vulnerable plaques. His aim is to increase the effectiveness of specific treatment plans while maintaining a manageable cost.
