Biography

James Gingerich, MD, is a board certified family medicine doctor who serves as a hospitalist at Goshen Hospital. He manages care for patients throughout their hospital stay and coordinates communication among primary care doctors, specialists, nurses and other medical providers.

Dr. Gingerich has been on the medical staff of Goshen Hospital since 1988. He also served as the Guardian of Vision at Maple City Health Care Center in Goshen for more than 30 years.

Outside the hospital, Dr. Gingerich fills his life with a love of family, music, artistry and good foods. His talents range from beekeeping and bookbinding to spinning and weaving. He indulges in genealogy research and always has a good fiction read nearby.

Philosophy of Care

Dr. Gingerich believes communication is vital in caring for patients during a vulnerable time when they are in the hospital. He treats patients with integrity and respects their individual values and preferences as they share in their healthcare decisions.
