Caring for you in the hospital

When you arrive at Goshen Hospital, you can rest assured you are in the right place for compassionate care, delivered by a team of highly trained and experienced healthcare providers. We provide comprehensive care, whether you are in our emergency room, need outpatient services or are admitted as a patient.

Our commitment to our community and our exceptional people doing exceptional work form our foundation to provide innovative, outstanding care and services.

Hospitalists advocate for you

While you are in the hospital, hospitalists ensure you receive superior care. These physicians and nurse practitioners are specialists in internal medicine and care only for hospitalized patients. Our hospitalists do not have medical practices outside the hospital. This enables them to focus exclusively on you and your care while you are in the hospital.

You can expect to see your hospitalist at least once a day. You and your family can rely on your hospitalist to keep you informed of tests, their results, overall progress of your treatment and your anticipated discharge date and time.

Your hospitalist also works closely with your primary care doctor to understand your needs, as well as your past medical history. When you are discharged from the hospital, your primary care doctor receives a complete summary of your hospitalization. This strong partnership between your physicians ensures a smooth transition of your care from the hospital to your doctor.

Nurses provide compassionate care

Every day, our nurses do exactly what inspired them in the first place. They are strong patient/family advocates and provide compassionate care, strengthened and enhanced by high quality medicine. That's why we equip our nursing teams with the latest technology, treatments and training. We know you receive the highest standard of care when our nurses are supported with the resources necessary to live out their hearts’ passion. Gold standard of nursing

Working together as a closely-knit team, our nurses are encouraged to share ideas that lead to real change, continue their education and realize their full potential. It’s one reason why Goshen Hospital has received Magnet™ Status, a distinction awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. This distinction is shared by less than 6 percent of hospitals nationwide. In 2004, the hospital earned Magnet Status on its first try. And with each year's Magnet re-designation, Goshen Hospital remains among an elite group of only 2 percent of hospitals in the nation.
