Advance your career toward paramedic certification
Become part of a front-line team of healthcare professionals that saves lives
Saving lives. That’s what trained paramedics do every day. From providing life support and stabilizing those with a medical trauma to providing safe transportation to a medical facility, paramedics deliver emergency care at its highest level outside of the hospital.
Advanced emergency medical training
Certification as a paramedic demands rigorous training and comprehensive education. Our 18-month accredited Paramedic Training Program combines classroom study and hands-on experience in all areas of emergency medical services:
- Anatomy and physiology
- Medical terminology
- Advanced airway techniques
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) and more
Clinical rotations give you valuable experience in various departments of the hospital where you can demonstrate skill competencies while under supervision. A field internship with an approved paramedic-level ambulance service helps prepare you for advanced emergency medical care in pre-hospital settings.
When you complete the program, you become eligible to take the Indiana paramedic written and practical examinations required for certification by Indiana Emergency Services and the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
